Situated off the beaten path, just south of Yountville, is an exquisite pale stone winery, shrouded by oak, bordered to the south by Hopper Slough, surrounded by vineyard and cloaked in quiet. After looking for twenty years, winemaker Anthony Bell and winegrower John Baritelle found the perfect place to produce the wines they have long dreamed . . .
The vineyards, known as Paradise Hills, are stunningly beautiful with gorgeous views of the valley. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are planted on volcanic soil. Merlot is planted on a deep layer of alluvial clay deposited by streams draining the mountain range high above. Sustainable farming is practiced and the human hand is the connection . . .
Completed in time for crush 2005, the new state-of-the-art gravity-flow winery boasts a berry-by-berry sorting system and conical tanks commissioned using a design inspired by the tanks of Château Latour. One tank per vineyard block ensures each lot evolves at its own pace and acres of caves with single-layer barrel storage ensure access to each barrel at all . . .
V Wine Cellar is located in Yountville, California right in the heart of Napa Valley. There's always something going on here. We offer a full tasting bar, lounge and patio. Enjoy a glass or share a bottle along with daily small plates. We're open 10a-7p daily for regular service and can arrange for private, structured tastings as well as private food & wine dining . . .
To taste an RSV wine at home or in a restaurant is a good thing; however, to experience a flight of RSV wines, in the place they were made, can be a very enlightening experience. Find out why RSV was named Sunset magazine’s tasting room of the year and the Wine Spectator featured it as a must visit winery in Napa Valley. But don’t take their word for . . .
